CLINICAL EXERCISE

WEST FOOTSCRAY

Exercise is the key to good health

What is clinical exercise?

Our clinical exercise sessions are our movement-based therapy here at ASCEND. We utilise our knowledge of anatomy, physiology and biomechanics to devise and run exercise sessions to help our clients recover from an injury, stay injury-free, and meet health goals.

You will need an assessment before you start your sessions with us.

Our clinical exercise programs can help with:
- neck and shoulder pain
- low back and hip pain
- knee and ankle pain
- sports injury rehabilitation
- postural complaints
- pre-and post-natal wellbeing
- falls prevention and improvement in tackling daily tasks
- pre-and post-surgical rehabilitation
- improving sporting performance

What does clinical exercise look like?

We draw from principles of strength training as well as Clinical Pilates to get our clients stronger and more able. Regular exercise with purpose improves flexibility, mobility, stability, strength and control of your body which can aid in pain relief, injury recovery and overall function.

Our movement space is equipped with various equipment such as

  • dumbbells,

  • Pilates reformer machines,

  • barbells,

  • swiss balls,

  • a sled track

  • chin up bars,

You’ll never get bored and you'll never feel like you're doing the same thing at ASCEND!

Can I take it to the next level?

At ASCEND, we believe in not only making you feel good but we want you to feel the best you've ever felt!

We help our clients do the activities that are most important to them at the best of their abilities, that is why Strength and Condtioning is important to us.

The goal of strength and conditioning is to improve a skill through exercise focused on mobility, stability, strength, power, and speed.

Our strength and conditioning program is for people from all walks of life including those who are big into their gardening all the way to our athletic population e.g. rock climbers, martial arts, weight lifters etc.

We aim to help our clients reduce their risk of re-injury as well as help them perform better in their chosen or activity.
