ABOUT

US

ASCEND is the product of the brains of two determined osteopaths wanting to provide better patient outcomes in the manual therapy and exercise rehabilitation world. Phillip Le and Jena Chang (founders of ASCEND) were keen to break out of the traditional ‘4 walls and a treatment bed’ approach.

Being very active individuals with their own injuries and pain, Phil and Jena understands the important role of hands-on treatment and exercise therapy in recovery and performance.

We strive to give our clients the best opportunity to feel better, move better and do better by providing the most modern, evidence-based, and profressional service.

Dr. Phillip Le

Bachelor of Health Science/Bachelor of Applied Science (Osteopathy)

Phillip is an osteopath who was raised in the western suburbs of Melbourne. He graduated with a Bachelor of Health Science/Bachelor of Applied Science (Osteopathy) RMIT University and is currently studying for a Master's of Exercise Science (Strenghth and Conditioning).

As an osteopath, Phillip adopts a very hands-on approach to treatment while maintaining a strong emphasis on exercise therapy. As such, his vision for ASCEND is to provide his clients with the most comprehensive care from the treatment room to the exercise studio.

Phillip works closely with his clients to identify all potential factors that may have predisposed one to injury as well as factors that may inhibit recovery - allowing for the most individualised treatment plan.

Having competed for the Australian Taekwondo team for a decade, Phillip is no stranger to injuries and understands the necessary measures required to not only recover from but also prevent injuries and maximise performance.

Phillip is also a devoted rock climber and is passionate about climbing injuries, he finds great satisfaction in assisting climbers return to the wall and climbing at their best.

Phillip spends his free time honing his photography and videography skills and getting outdoors.
